The journey for me intensifies as my husband and I move further north to begin the awesome endeavor of having our log home built on the river. As the slice of photo reveals in my weblog header, it’s a beautiful place to be….15+ wooded acres with part ownership in an adjacent 38 acre nature conservancy teaming with wildlife…We’ll also have our own peninsula on a 16 acre private pond….After working hard all our lives, and raising four children, we are finally on the way to living our retirement dream, albeit earlier than most….Let me say, the journey that brought us this far has by no means been an easy one….We’ve done our homework and the major planning, now it’s time to manifest the dream….There will be Bald Headed Eagles, River Otters, and even an occasional Black Bear among the myriad creatures stopping by for a visit….I will be actively involved with The Wisconsin River Alliance, and also The Wisconsin Wetlands Association, and most likely a few other organizations dedicated to wildlife and nature conservancy as well….So, as you can imagine, I’ll be extremely busy out and about….Yes, I’ll still be holding the usual politicians’ feet to the fire, but I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to stop in here to rant and rave….I’m hoping to get some pictures up eventually….Nevertheless, I have some excellent links to peruse should you stop by while I’m gone….

((did I mention there have been 2 emergency electric rate increases this year, largest nuclear generating station in the world west of Phoenix and the electric company is going to have to shut it’s doors due to the price of propane ))
this winter, more days the atmosphere has failed clean air standards than the last 5 years combined,
the wild fires have already started here in Arizona, oh . . . all you heard about was “California “,no they are here too.
but is that enough ,no
news this morning is stating stock up on food,water, and cold medication.
The pandemic is here, now, no waiting . . .we are all going to die.
Just wanted to let you know in case you never hear from me again.
Thank you President Clinton for your desire to pocket 3 trillion dollars from social security into the federal coffers
as people die too soon to collect it.
No sense wasting that money on the people that deserve it.

This is a Verbatim Quote of Bush’s explanation of the Medicare Drug Bill. This quote was submitted on 12/13/05.

Woman in audience: “I don’t really understand. How is it that the new plan is going to fix the problem?”

Verbatim response of President Bush: “Because the - all which is on the table begins to address the big cost drivers. For example, how benefits are calculated, for example is on the table. Whether or not benefits rise based upon wage increases or price increases there’s a series of parts of the formula that are being considered. And when you couple that, those different cost drivers, affecting those - changing those with personal accounts, the idea is to get what has been promised more likely to be - or closer delivered to that has been promised. Does that make any sense to you? It’s kind of muddled. Look, there’s a series of things that cause the - like, for example, benefits are calculated based upon the increase of wages, as opposed to the increase of prices. Some have suggested that we calculate - the benefits will rise based upon inflation, supposed to wage increases. There is a reform that would help solve the red if that were put into effect. I just sat and watched a vile creature stand before the American people pretending to be the real American president….Amazing how the false premises disappear in the media as they enforce the notion that this snake oil salesman is a legitimate president….Yet this vile creature ingratiates himself to the American people with smirks and lies, thinking there’s people he can bushwhack, giving him some sick illusion of superiority….We have a madman at the wheel folks, a dangerous madman who lies, tortures, kills, exploits, and steals with no remorse…and has the financial resources to support his madness….Damn. how do those who plant their noses up the BushCo pig trough black hole look at themselves in the mirror, traitors selling their country to the highest bidder?…
